The Viper II travel rod is a 7x piece travel rod that is awesome! Historically 7x pieces would be deemed clumsy and top-heavy but not anymore.
The Viper II has turned out to be an interesting rod for the travelling fisher giving no excuse not to have a rod in your suitcase when travelling. Measuring 47.5cm including the cordura tube, you could almost fit it in your inner pocket.
The action is very like the 4x piece version but of course it is a bit deeper but you will be amazed how fast they still are. Three weight classes to cover most fishing situations, from trout/grayling to seatrout, rainbow trout and Pike and seabass for the biggest #9 version.
The blank is made with 40 ton high pressure UD Graphite (unidirectional carbon fibers) and offered in a beautiful deep green colour with metallic green and gold trimmings. Built with top quality fittings and a cork made from 4 AAAA grade Portuguese cork.
